This is Kiki, Kip’s daughter. It is with great sadness I let his friends know that today, Christmas Day, my dad passed away from complications with Dementia. He had such a rich life filled with love, and friends. His family was his greatest joy. He loved his wife, my mom fiercely - and his kids and grandkids just as much. We will miss him immensely. Rest easy, dad. We love you. Xoxo

Kip Klopp
June 15, 1947 to December 25, 2023

,
Born in Spokane, Washington, on Father's Day in 1947, Kip passed away in Clarkston, Michigan, on Christmas Day, just 3 days short of being married 53 years. He was with his wife, Cynthia, and daughter, Kiki.
Kip grew up in Washington state. He enjoyed the great outdoors, playing football, baseball, golf, tennis, skiing, and hockey on frozen ponds in Spokane. He shared his love of athletics with his family, coaching and mentoring them as they grew up. The last two years, he loved watching his granddaughter, Harper, and grandson, Hunter, enjoy their worlds of athletics, attending most of the events.
He was an educated man who used his "selling and marketing skills" to enjoy a happy life, surrounded by family and friends. His schooling included Roosevelt Grade School, Sacajawea Junior High, Lewis & Clark High School, Garfield High School, University of Oregon, University of Washington-graduated with BA, and Seattle University grad school, where he graduated with honors in the MBA program.
While at Oregon he pledged Sigma Phi Epsilon and was elected Sophomore Senate representative.
He attended several reunions to maintain connections. He finished his undergrad at Washington. With a low draft number, he joined the Army Reserves following graduation. After his sixth month "duty" he returned to Seattle, and immediately met the love of his life, Cynthia. They were married six months later.
After working for a few years, he returned to school, at Seattle University, graduating with honors in the MBA program. Sales and marketing were his jobs until Covid hit.
In adult life he played competitive and "social" tennis. The social tennis involved 30 years of Sunday morning tennis and coffee with 10 neighborhood men! He also had fun with golf, especially playing with his son, K.C.
Once fully retired in Michigan, he was a fan at his granddaughter, Harper (13) and grandson, Hunter (8) games and meets!
Kip is survived by his immediate family, brother, Lucky (Beverly), and Happy (Margot) with their children and nieces and nephews. He will be missed.
No services will be held.
