John Nyberg, 76, passed away on January 29, 2024 from complications associated with dementia.
He was born on June 22, 1947 to Louise and Oscar Nyberg in Spokane, WA. He graduated from Lewis and Clark high school in 1965 and was a dedicated Tiger's fan for his entire life. In 1971 John moved from Spokane to Seattle to pursue his passion in music. He was one of the founders of Far West Entertainment, a music promotion company, which he later took sole ownership of. He loved his work as a band promoter and was an important member of the greater Seattle music scene for over 40 years. He also treasured his family and enjoyed traveling back to Spokane to reconnect with them.
John and his significant other, Susie Martin, lived in Bothell until they retired to Garden Valley, CA in 2022.
He is survived by Susie Martin, his companion for 22 years, his daughters Annie Erret and Jetta DeNend, his brother Bob Nyberg and two grandchildren Sammy and Jake.
John genuinely loved life and making people laugh. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
