James "Jim" Ellsworth Johnson passed away on August 3, 2024, in Austin, TX, where he lived.
Jim was born in Spokane, WA, to Ellsworth and Lucille Johnson on February 11, 1947. He is survived by his brothers, Les Johnson and Steve Johnson; cousin, Bob McVey; nephew, Michael Johnson; and niece, Jaime Buzzard.
Jim grew up in Spokane, graduating from Lewis & Clark H.S. He went on to graduate from WSU after completing a term in the Army, seeing duty in Vietnam and Germany.
In the early '80s he worked as a Cost Accountant. Jim transferred to El Paso, TX, where his employer's company moved. Later, in the early 2000's, he moved to Austin, TX, where his brother, Steve, was living, and worked until his retirement.
Jim was an avid hobbyist participating in all the RC offerings. Electric guitars, trains, and firearms were also his passions. He enjoyed watching old TV series that brought back memories of his childhood and the good old times.
Jim will be laid to rest beside his parents at Fairmount Memorial in Spokane.
