Billie Ray Thompson
1947 - 2021

Billie Ray Thompson age 73 passed away on June 23rd, 2021, at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA after suffering a massive stroke. He was born on July 30th, 1947, to Billie Joe and Naomi Ruth Thompson in Colfax, WA. Billie Ray graduated in 1965 from Lewis & Clark High School. He was a man of colorful nature. His passion was tinkering with cars and racing. He became a certified scuba diver and loved the outdoors, his guns, hunting, fishing, campfires and drinking beer. His collections included stamps, coins, playboy magazines (from the beginning), Budweiser steins and movies he recorded. With his talent he enjoyed putting together model ships and woodworking. He was very generous in helping when and where he could of all things including the gift of a kidney to his youngest sister. Billie Ray is predeceased by his parents, brother Tommy, sister Teresa Wilponen and nephew Anthony Decker. He is survived by a brother Nick (Lynne) Thompson, two sisters Cheryl Kilmer, Janine (Paul) Millikin and brother in-law Doug Wilponen. Also surviving him are sons Monte and Billie jr. Thompson from Spokane, WA and daughter Ginger Feeney (Matt) from Florida along with numerous grandkids, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of Billie Ray's life will be held later.
