BELL, Arthur K. (Age 56)
Passed away at his home In Spokane Valley, WA on December 13, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Anita; daughter, Katherine Bickham of Spokane Valley, daughter, Annette Bell of Tekoa, WA, son, Richard Bell of Spokane Valley; father, Kenneth Bell of Spokane Valley; sister, Elizabeth Gnaedinger of Palouse, WA; and three grandchildren, Ted, Steven and Allison Bickham. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lola Bell, in 1999. Arthur was born in Spokane, WA in 1947. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1965 where he was active in the stage crew and the choir, and was on both the tennis and golf teams. He also participated in the youth groups at both St. John's Episcopal and South Hill Christian Churches. Art attended both Central Washington College and Washington State University, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for WSU running the computer lab in the Engineering Department. He then worked for American Sign and Indicator as a hardware design engineer on accounts for major clients such as the Taiwan Airport and Times Square in New York City. From 1979 through 1982, Arthur was the manager of development, designing new products for General Instruments in Post Falls, ID. Most recently, he was a design and development engineer and manager at Transtector until 1988. Before Arthur's disability, he enjoyed remodeling his home with his wife, as well as skiing and swimming in Lake Coeur d'Alene where his beloved family cabin is. A Memorial Service for Mr. Bell will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at THORNHILL VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1400 S. PINES RD, SPOKANE VALLEY, WA 99206.
