Samuel Patrick "Sam" WOOD
1947 - 2021

Samuel 'Sam' Patrick Wood, 74, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on September 18, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Sam was born in Spokane, Washington on January 10, 1947. He graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1965 and received a degree from Eastern Washington University.

Sam and his twin brother, Blaine, owned and operated The Woodshed Restaurant for many years.

Sam was passionate about his city and served with dedication on the Spokane Valley City Council and the Carnhope Water District. Professionally he was both a Real Estate Broker and an Appraiser. He owned Sound Appraisal Management.

Sam is survived by his wife, Rogene, a daughter, Samantha, and a son, Blaine. He has two granddaughters, Jordyn and Lacey. He leaves behind three siblings: brothers, Blaine (wife, Kaye); brother Jeffrey; sister, Cynthia (husband, Jim).

Sam was a dependable, knowledgeable and hard-working man with a clever mind and a quick wit. He loved to golf, fish, hike and go 4-wheeling every chance he could.

Sam will remain in the heart of his family and will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 5 at South Hill Bible Church at 958 E. 29th Avenue, Spokane, WA. For further information: office@shbcsspokane.org.
